ago, the production
of crystal chandeliers
started in the city called Medzilaborce,
Czechoslovakia at that
time. It was
under the strict
supervision of glass
masters from Jablonec,
Bohemian region in
the Czech Republic,
who were considered
the best crystal
experts of that
time. The basis
of the success
were the glass
pressroom, highly skilled
trimming cutters and metal craftsmen who were together creating the timeless pieces.
The current successor
of this crystal
tradition is the
only manufacturer of
crystal chandeliers in
Slovakia, the company
Glass LPS.
HAND made chandeliers’ parts
BOHEMIA CRYSTAL CHANDELIERS have become a
prestigious sign of good taste, wealth, and nobility over the last seven
centuries. During the Renaissance, they were bringing radiance to the palaces
of the French king Louis XV, the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa, and Elizabeth
czarina of Russia. Today, Czech crystal is internationally well recognised for
its beauty, innovative design, craftsmanship, and high quality. Chandeliers
made of Bohemia crystal glass enhance the brilliance of places like Milan's
Teatro alla Scala, Rome's Teatro dell'Opera, Versailles, the Hermitage Museum
in St. Petersburg or the royal palace in Riyadh.
